The glittering Hyatt Regency Dallas hotel opened on April 15, 1978 and was designed by Welton Becket Associates of Los Angeles. The silhouette of the downtown hotel and the adjoining Dallas landmark Reunion Tower ensure the Dallas skyline is recognizable worldwide. Conveniently located near the business, sports, cultural and shopping districts, the Hyatt Regency Dallas hotel is in the heart of downtown's historic district adjacent to the West End. Local attractions: Reunion Arena, Dallas Convention Center, Love Field, American Airlines Center and Union Station, all accessible by foot or DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit). Hyatt Regency Dallas also boasts the longest running AAA four diamond distinction in Dallas.

Renovation News 
Hyatt Regency Dallas at Reunion completed a $15 million hotel renovation in December 2003, including a complete bathroom renovation and a soft goods redo of guestrooms and corridors. The bathrooms now feature tile floors, granite countertops, new fixtures and more. The guest rooms have wireless Internet access, two dual-line phones, new wall coverings, drapes and carpet. In addition, the corridors leading to the guestrooms have new carpet. We like to think we're now the best-looking of hotels in Dallas.

Hyatt Regency Dallas offers 1,122 elegantly appointed guestrooms including 41 suites with views of the sprawling Dallas landscape. The hotel's public function area totals 160,000 square feet including three ballrooms, two exhibit halls and 56 meeting rooms. Recent highlights of our downtown Dallas hotel include a 30,000-square-foot ballroom with a 30-foot ceiling height and a 40,000-square-foot dedicated exhibit hall.

At 30,000 square feet of uninterrupted space, Landmark Ballroom is one of the largest in Dallas and is the only of the hotel ballrooms in the city with a 30-foot ceiling. Particularly attractive to meeting and event planners, the space was designed with advanced technology and production capabilities, providing quick and cost-efficient setup while still featuring luxurious fabrics and finishes. The ballroom has balconies around the perimeter of the room and multiple hanging points with a 2,000-pound capacity each throughout the open ceiling. Entry vestibules with double-door configurations provide sound and light barriers. The Landmark Ballroom is divisible into four sections, allowing for simultaneous meetings. Combined with the existing Reunion and Pegasus ballrooms, the Hyatt Regency Dallas hotel boasts 52,600 square feet of ballroom space on one level.

The 40,000-square-foot Marsalis Hall is a dedicated exhibit hall with advanced telecommunication and electronic capabilities. Columns throughout the hall offer data and voice connections, 110- and 208-voltage electrical outlets with higher voltage available upon request, hot and cold water, drainage and compressed air. The exhibit hall has wall-to-wall carpeting, elegant wall coverings, a 15-foot ceiling height and built-in show offices. Marsalis Hall divides into two sections for maximum flexibility.

The Landmark Ballroom and Marsalis Hall are both supported by a three-bay commercial loading dock, large-capacity elevator and expanded main kitchen.
